The atmosphere was full of tension and anticipation, as the audience watched in awe at Stetson’s impressive techniques, which included circular breathing and coordinated or uncoordinated patterns that allowed the room to be filled with a rich, layered sound, despite the use of only one instrument (at a time). The important thing is that the intensity of his music, meaning those melancholic and dark soundscapes down to the most powerful doses of microbursts, captivated the crowd throughout. Nobody moved. Or rather, some people were moving, to that heavy and dull at points rhythm carried away by the drone.
