Scenius Series proudly present Zu, the groundbreaking Italian band, a genre-defying phenomenon like no other, for a one-night-only performance at Temple on Saturday, April 12. The night will open with ΣΤΟΜΑ, an Athens-based act.

Zu is a strange beast. Their lineup—drums, bass, and saxophone—resembles a jazz trio in structure, yet their approach is anything but conventional. They are known for pushing boundaries, blending elements of metal, noise, math rock, progressive, ambient, industrial, electro, and avant-garde into a fierce, intricate, and unmistakably unique sound.
As the legendary John Zorn once said: “a powerful and expressive music that totally blows away what most bands do these days”.
