The Necks are masters of long-form improvisation, offering a musical experience unlike any conventional piano trio. With no predetermined material, each performance is created entirely in the moment, shaped by the room, the acoustics, and the shared presence of the audience.

Through subtle repetition, gradual shifts and layered textures, their music unfolds slowly into dense, hypnotic forms of remarkable depth and scale. Over more than three decades together, the trio have developed a unique musical language in which small changes accumulate into expansive, immersive sound worlds.

The Athens residency is presented as part of the Scenius Series.
